Customer Service Training Programme

The Department of Economic Development and Tourism together with Cape Agulhas Municipality – Tourism promotion and Economic Development will be continuing with the CATHSSETA Customer Services Training Programme in the Western Cape in the 2019/2020 financial year. The Customer Services Training Programme responds to the need that customer service needs to be matched and sustained to global standards.  This project tries to alleviate the inconsistent service levels within the Tourism and Hospitality Industry.  This project will focus on the current workforce in the Industry. 

 

This programme is a 7-day training programme but will be rolled out as follows: respectively in a period of three weeks (2 days in week 1 and 2 days in week 2 and 3 days in week 3). The reason being we are aware that employees being away from their workplaces would be intruding on their operations in the workplace, hence the decision for the three weeks.

 

The programme will run over a 7 day training schedule and the dates for the Cape Agulhas region will take place during:

17-18 July 2019 (2 days) - Week 1

24-25 July 2019 (2 days) - Week 2

5-7 August 2019 (3 days) - Week 3

 

There is no costs involved and we would like all role-players to nominate at least 2 or 3 people that can participate in the training as this will be very beneficial to your organisation. If it’s possible that you could please send me names by Wednesday, 10 July 2019.

Cape Agulhas Municipality is proud to announce that we are in the process of rolling out wheelie bins to the whole CAM area.  A wheelie bin will be provided by the municipality to every address.

 

The wheelie bin project is financed through an external loan.  These bins will remain an asset/property of Cape Agulhas Municipality for the next four years.  Residents are responsible for the safe keeping of these wheelie bins.

Functions:

  • Duties associated with maintenance/service delivery of sewerage distribution
  • Sewer blockage removals
  • Cleaning of spilled waste
  • Assisting driver with emptying suction tanks, maintenance of truck

FUNCTIONS:

  • Responsible to ensure that council / administration complies with all relevant financial legislation applicable on Local Government and that all required legislation are adhered to and complete as per legislated due dates.
  • Assist with the compilation of multi-year budgets, that is: Draft Budgets / Final Approved budgets and all relevant Adjustment Budgets.
  • Responsible for components applicable to financial department in terms of the Service Delivery and Budget and Implementation plan (SDBIP) as required by legislation.
  • Manage the analysis of financial information, monitoring and budget reforms legislated in terms of legislation.
  • Manage the completion of all financial and budget related documents and return forms as required in terms of National and Provincial treasury circulars / legislation as well as other stakeholders as applicable.
  • Responsible for ensuring all budget related information is available on the municipal website in terms of the Municipal Finance Management Act.
  • Co-ordinate the support and assistance to capacitate departments in terms of financial requirements as applicable.
  • Manage the reporting of National and Provincial as well as other grant allocations allocated to the municipality
  • Assist with the Annual Financial Statements and related supporting schedules / documentation.
